About Our Program

Broadway Dance Center (BDC)’s Children & Teen Program (CTP) offers young dancers elite training in our state-of-the art studios located in the heart of Broadway‘s Theater District. In the CTP, your child will study with today’s leading dance teachers and choreographers for children and teens. Our program delivers the finest all-around dance experience for your child by offering a wide variety of class options, an abundance of additional opportunities, and the highest quality dance instruction that only New York City and BDC can provide.

CTP KidsOur popular 32-week Children & Teen Program runs from September through June and holds classes in Creative Movement, Pre Dance, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Triple Threat, Latin Jazz, Modern, African, Pointe, Jumps & Turns, and Lyrical. This seasonal course is held on Saturdays and Sundays for students ages 3-18, in levels from beginner to advanced.

We also offer several shorter CTP Workshops for those students who cannot commit to the 32 weeks of our regular program, or those students want to seek additional training. CTP Workshops are offered in a variety of dance styles and levels. Whether you’re a new addition to our BDC family or have grown with us over the years, we welcome you to an exciting 2010-2011 season of dance!

Scholarships/Donations

We proudly award over $25,000 a year in scholarships to students enrolled in the Children & Teen Program. In addition to “in-house” grants, we work closely with organizations such as Rosie’s Broadway Kids and The New York City Boys and Girls Club, providing dance classes to deserving students who wish to participate in our program.

Broadway Dance Center also donates CTP classes and discounts to various New York City Schools’ raffles, fundraisers, and organizations.
