Nancy Renee Braun has been choreographing and teaching musical theater for over a decade in New York City, Chicago, California, and many other cities across the country. She has been performing in the NYC theater community since the age of three, and has a strong foundation in the national dance competition circuit. A graduate of Northwestern University, Nancy has performed on Broadway in the original companies of Fat Camp, and the revial of Gypsy with Patti LuPone, as well as in numerous regional theatre productions, including A Chorus Line, The Boy Friend, Grease, My One and Only, and The Wild Party. Recently, Nancy wrapped filming on the upcoming musical theater film, Life of an Actress.
Nancy has been Connor Gallagher’s Associate Choreographer on several productions, favorites including the Broadway first national tour of Elf, Robber Bridegroom (Roundabout Theatre Workshop), Fat Camp (NYMF Outstanding Choreography Award), and Peter Pan (Northern Stage). Nancy’s own choreographer/director credits include the Resident Director/Choreographer for Off-Broadway’s Berenstain Bears: Family Matters, Fantasy Football: The Musical (NYMF Best of Fest Runner-Up), Godspell Broadway Flash Mob (100, 000 YouTube hits), Altar Boyz (TriArts Sharon Playhouse), Pippin (William Daniels Award for Best Choreography), The Wild Party, and Urinetown. Nancy will be the Associate Choreographer on both companies of the upcoming Elf, performing at the Kennedy Center.
