Chris Palacio, a native New Yorker, started his dance training in 2002 at Nassau Community College, never having any prior training.

As a dance major he began training in both classical ballet and modern dance. In 2003 he began to train with The Eglevsky Ballet out on Long Island and in 2004 Chris was asked to join the company, and has been performing with them annually ever since.

In 2008, Chris began to dance with Genesis Dance Company, a Horton based company. Chris has also worked with theater companies out on Long Island, performed in Sybarite, performed on VH1 Big Morning Buzz with Neon Hitch, shot a dance/workout video for TV with Calvin Wiley (Calvinography) and Sean T (Hip Hop Abs, Insanity) and created the Christopher Palacio Dance Project, a Roof Top Showcase for choreographers to display all different styles of work.

In 2005 Chris became a ECITS & NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise instructor, where he used his skills as dancer to make himself a unique trainer incorporating and focusing on proper form/technique, balance, core stability, and coordination in his programming. He also began to teach dance classes for gyms such as NYSC, Reebok Sports Club and The Sports Club/LA UES.

Chris has been teaching Hip-Hop on Long Island for Spotlight Dance Studio for six years, has worked with Attitudes in Motion, The Eglevsky Ballet, Downtown Dance Factory in NYC, and several other studios in both Long Island and NYC teaching Hip-Hop, Jazz, and technique classes.

Chris joined BDC's Children & Teen Program in 2008 as an assistant for Modern and Hip-Hop classes working alongside faculty member Jamie Jackson. He also does warms up and assists for Anthony Antboogie Rue. In 2012 Chris became faculty for the CTP program teaching Hip-Hop.

Chris' goal is to share his knowledge of dance and proper movement techniques, in order to help create the best dancer one could possibly be, all while having FUN!
