Max Pollak is one of the most prestigious names on the international tap scene. He is a 2011 Hoofer Award winner, 2011 Bessie Award nominee, and 2008 Fellow in Choreography from the New York Foundation of the Arts. He is recognized worldwide for his superior musicianship and highly individual style merging Afro-Cuban music and dance with rhythm tap and body music to create¬†RumbaTap. Recording artist and originator of Cuba's first tap festival, he has worked with top artists in the latin, jazz, classical and world music genres, with the main purpose of bringing them all together through the power of communal rhythm and dance.¬†
