Jason "Booogie" Santana was born and raised in Spanish Harlem, New York. At a young age, he began to show great potential in the performing arts, and so at the age of 12, he auditioned for Susan Rybin Talent Management and was signed on the spot in their children’s department.
While with Rybin Talent MGMT, Jason booked various roles in several PSAs, both in print and film. He also worked on the popular PBS show, Between the Lions. Jason was no stranger to dance and music, and would often imitate iconic artists such as Michael Jackson, Usher, and Justin Timberlake. But, it wasn’t until his senior year at Talent Unlimited High School, where he began to show interest in pursuing a professional career in dance. J
Jason followed this pursuit by immersing himself in the New York City Hip-Hop and Street Jazz dance scene, working with and training under some of the industry’s biggest names, such as Rhapsody James, Luam, Jermaine Browne, Kelly Peters, Jamie Jackson, and Angel Feliciano. Later in 2005, Jason was signed to the New York office of BLOC Agency. Since then, Jason has appeared on prime networks including MTV, NBC, BET, ABC, and CBS, and has also worked with major recording artists such as Katy Perry, Madonna, LMFAO, and Estelle.
In 2013, Jason was signed to Cunningham, Escott, Slevin & Doherty Talent Agency (CESD) under their dance department. Occasionally, Jason can be found teaching various classes and workshops throughout the tri-state area, as well as at Broadway Dance Center, one of New York City's top professional dance training studios.
