Michelle Weber began practicing Pilates and The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® many years ago, and soon after started instructing both disciplines. The results were so astonishing that she immediately felt she had to share this with people due to the sudden feeling of freedom in her body. The length, flexibility, and stability that she gained significantly helped to alleviate any aches and pains she had acquired from her dance career and daily life. She acquired here training in New York City, where she was fully certified to instruct the Gyrotonic Expansion System, and Gyrokenesis. Michelle is also a certified Pilates instructor and has a Specialized certification for working with Pre and Post Natal women.
As a choreographer, Michelle’s most recent work has been seen in the New York Theater Festival in a A brand new Musical entitled I Come for Love. Just prior to that production, Michelle had the great opportunity to choreograph two of Gateway Playhouse’s summer stock productions, Beauty and the Beast and Showboat. Excited to be working in all the venues she loves, including theater, television and film, Michelle in the past year has been a choreographer in Los angeles for the American Idol Ford Music Videos (working directly with the final 12 contestants), as well as an assistant choreographer for the upcoming film, "A Christmas Carol," to be released for the 2009 holiday season.
As a dancer, Michelle had the great opportunities of performing with such stars as Michael Jackson, Brian Setzer, Brian McKnight, Mike Myers, and Spike Jonze. She has performed on television’s "American Music Awards," "MTV Music Awards," "MTV Movie Awards," "Alley McBeal" and "Everybody Loves Raymond." Michelle has also performed in the1st National Tour of Broadway’s Contact, and NYC’s Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and has been the Resident and Associate Choreographer for Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire on Broadway.
