Steven Malone

Steven Malone was the Associate Music Director/Conductor for the Broadway musical Newsies having been involved with the production since it’s inception at the Papermill Playhouse. Steven is thrilled to have worked on three other Alan Menken shows both on Broadway and regionally that include, Sister Act, Leap of Faith, and Disney’s The Little Mermaid. This past December, he was the Children’s Vocal Conductor for NBC’s live telecast of Peter Pan starring Allison Williams and Christopher Walken and The Sound of Music starring Carrie Underwood in 2013.

Steven has been a pianist for numerous workshops of new musicals, companies, and events, including Christopher Gattelli’s project, In Your Arms at New York Stage and Film. He was involved with the new Lynn Ahrens/Stephen Flaherty musical, The Little Dancer at Lincoln Center, directed by Susan Stroman. Steven has worked at Nashville Opera, the Kennedy Center Honors, and the Tony Awards. He has had an active career as an audition pianist. When not working eight shows a week Steven is a teaching artist for numerous organizations around the country including Chattanooga Center for Creative Arts, Broadway Student Summit, and has been involved with The Broadway Experience since 2008.
