Edgar Anido was born in Santa Clara-Cuba, where he began his ballet studies at the E. V. A. “Olga Alonzo” and finished his training at the National School of Ballet in Havana-Cuba. He then joined to Camaguey Ballet, as a soloist (1999-2002), and later was invited to be principal dancer of the Central Theatre Ballet of Guayaquil-Ecuador (2002-2004), finally joining Ballet Gamonet in Miami (2005-2008).

Edgar has work with several choreographers such as Dwight Rhoden, Jerry Opdenaker, Mark Ghoden,William Sollow, Alberto Mendez, Oswaldo Beiro, among others. He was named best male partner in the International Ballet Competition Havana-Cuba (1999). Later he was awarded a Silver Medal and a Special Mention for Interpretation at the Contemporary Dance Competition, Solo Para Duos (2001).
He participated in the 2006 USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi, and was winner of the 2008 World Ballet Competition Choreographer Award in Orlando, Florida.
Mr. Anido joined Complexions in 2008.
