Natalya Stavro (she/her) was born in Russia and received her ballet training at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet, the official school of the Kirov Ballet in St. Petersburg. After completing her training and graduating with the highest level diploma, "Ballet Dancer," Natalya joined the state Academic Theatre of Classical Ballet in Moscow as a principal dancer. This class is a fresh and open approach to the study of traditional ballet vocabulary. Emphasis is placed on coordination, placement, flexibility, technique and strength. Musicality is stressed along with a strong sense of performance style. Students in class will move more freely and dance with grace and confidence.
This class is designed for students with a strong basic foundation. Correct placement of the head and arms in coordination with the leg and body movements is stressed. Combinations are specifically choreographed to enhance the student's individual qualities, raise their technical level and foster their sense of artistry thereby helping them pursue dance professionally. This class is ideal for students with diversified dance backgrounds.
