MaryAnn Chavez

MaryAnn Chavez was born and raised in Huntington Beach, CA. She has been trained in styles such as Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Contemporary for the past nineteen years. When she was sixteen she was accepted into the prestigious Alvin Ailey Professional Summer Program and signed to her first dance agency shortly after graduating high school at the age of nineteen. Now she is twenty-three years old and is signed with MSA Dance Agency and is managed by Cassie Breinlinger. She is also apart of some of the most well known dance companies in LA: Oceans 12 and immaBEAST! In 2017 she created and co-directs a new branch of IMMA called IMMAbreathe for contemporary dancers.

MaryAnn teaches and subs at Millennium Dance Complex LA & OC, Movement Lifestyle, immaSPACE, Kinjaz Dojo and Creative Collab. She also travels throughout the states to teach master classes and sets pieces on competition teams. Her favorite place she's been so far has been Copenhagen, Denmark to teach at Copenhagen Dance Space for two weeks!

MaryAnn has worked with brands and artists such as Forever 21, Disney Channel, Apple Music, Under Armour and Sofia Carson. She has choreographed for live shows and music videos such as RAW Artists, Club Jete, LA’s Choreographers Carnival, RJ Word, Nico Nieves and Naomi Wild. In 2017 & 2018 she earned a spot as a finalist in the Capezio A.C.E. Awards and presented her work alongside so many other talented choreographers! MaryAnn's style is innovative and blends her contemporary and hip-hop background into one. She loves to create a movement that is relatable to her audience.
