Diana Laurenson BDC Faculty Headshot

Fosse veteran Diane Laurenson had the privilege of working closely under the direction of Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon in FIVE companies of Bob Fosse’s Dancin’, and on the Broadway and National productions of Big Deal and Sweet Charity, in Featured Roles, as Dance Captain and Swing.  Alongside Ms. Linda Smith and coached by Bob, Gwen and Chris Chadman, Diane mounted the entire 2nd National Tour of Dancin’ and a stellar production of Sweet Charity starring Donna McKechnie for CA Musical Theatre.  She has also recreated full productions of West Side Story for the Westbury Music Fair and North Carolina Theatres.  Other Broadway credits include Gypsy with Tyne Daly & Linda Lavin, plus the TV Movie starring Bette Midler (Asst Choreographer), Dangerous Games, and The Little Prince.  She was the featured Lead Frug Dancer in the star-studded concert version of Sweet Charity at Lincoln Center, starring Gwen Verdon, Chita Rivera, Bebe Neuwirth, Donna McKechnie and Debbie Allen.

Entertaining audiences worldwide in National, International & Regional productions of West Side Story (Anybodys), Anything Goes (Virtue), 42nd Street (Peggy Sawyer), A Chorus Line (Val/Kristine), andChicago(Liz)shewas a featured player in Chet Walker’s original Dance Company “8 and ah 1”, performing at Jacob’s Pillow and venues throughout NYC.   Numerous TV, Film and Business Theater credits include  Law & Order, Age of Innocence and Ghostbusters to the Kennedy Center Honors, Miss America Pageant, The Royal Variety Show, West End Theatre Awards and Milliken Breakfast Show.

As an IATSE stagehand, Diane was Assistant Electrician with Les Miserables on Broadway at the Imperial Theatre, also working backstage on Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera, The Life and Titanic in electrics and sound.  She is a proud member of AEA, SAG & AFTRA.

Ms. Laurenson is on Faculty at Broadway Dance Center-NYC, specializing in Musical Theater Dance Performance/History and is a Master Theater Dance Instructor at London Studio Centre,  David Howard Foundation, California Musical Theatre & Seattle 5th Ave Theatre’s Outreach & Education Depts, Broadway Street Studio in Buenos Aires, and the Seminario in Merida & Mexico City, Mexico.

Diane is honored to join this distinguished panel of sanctioned instructors, sharing our tremendous experience of Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon’s legacy with today’s generation. 

Mimi Quillin BDC Faculty Headshot

Mimi Quillin trained as a dancer in NYC and danced in both the Pittsburgh and Milwaukee ballet companies before working on Broadway with Bob Fosse on Sweet Charity. Fosse awarded her a scholarship to the Strasberg Institute which turned her vision towards acting and led to being cast in plays Off-Broadway and in England. Dana Moore BDC Faculty Headshot

Dana Moore is a veteran of the Broadway stage. she was last seen on Broadway in Not Guilty (Hunyak) in chicago. Dana was also featured in Fosse (now on DVD), which chronicled Bob Fosse’s work from stage, film and television.

Lloyd Culbreath, a veteran Fosse dancer, has worked in the entertainment industry for over 30 years. Currently, he is lead instructor for the Fosse Master Class Series sanctioned by the Verdon Fosse Estate.
