Emily Gaffga Children & Teens Bio

Emily Gaffga (she/her) is a multifaceted dance artist with a deeply curious mind and an innately musical body.  Developed over the last ten years, her teaching style is centered around the fusion of bodily knowledge and historical knowledge within hip hop, contemporary, modern, and jazz forms. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, focused in Performance and Choreography. Her education fostered the ability to research multiple areas of interest including the kinesthetic development of children, which informs her teaching in all styles of movement. During her time in NYC, Emily has been training, performing, and teaching students ranging from two to eighteen years old at studios across the tri-state area. She hopes to instill a love of movement in all her students!
