Julie "JJ" Joseph (she/they) is a graduate of Brandeis University with a BA in psychology and Hispanic Studies. After graduating, she went on to train as a dancer in Boston and NYC, while becoming an educator for local studios. Julie "JJ" Joseph (she/they) is a graduate of Brandeis University with a BA in psychology and Hispanic Studies. After graduating, she went on to train as a dancer in Boston and NYC, while becoming an educator for local studios. They have danced in New York City as an apprentice for Cat Cogliandro's “CATASTROPHE!” and has participated in projects with Hayden J Frederick, Robert Taylor Jr., Neil Schwartz, Dre Torres, Shea Sullivan, Justin Boccitto, BCDP GLOBAL and N.E.A.T., a tap company under the direction of Mike Camire. Their work as a performer has led them to many performance opportunities in commercial spaces such as Carnival Choreographer's Ball NYC, Symphony Space, and the Jazz at Lincoln Center in NYC. As a choreographer, she has had the chance to present work at Carnival NYC, Sybarite NYC, and Club Jete in LA.
Her work as a dance educator, performer, and videographer allows her to move between LA, NYC, and Boston to share her love of movement with the next generation, especially in Tap, Rhythm Work and History, dance on camera, and Contemporary fusion movement.
