Eureka Nakano Grimes is a powerhouse dancer, actress, model and world traveling instructor. Currently a faculty member of CAP21 Molloy University Theatre Arts program, she also has created various programs for dancers all over the world through her platform Eureka Body.
Eureka has been assistant choreographer working with living legends Glenn Close and Wynton Marsalis for Jazz at Lincoln Center Transformations. She was the featured principal dancer in Conway the Machine's music video ʻJohn Woo Flickʼ and has worked on other music videos as associate director, choreographer and dancer. She was choreographer and dancer in a Purpose Award Winner film Time to Pause by Alistair Morrison featured in Gothenburg Film Festival and Shetland Film Festival. Dancer for Cosmos Within Us NY Live Arts which was awarded the Raindance Immersive Award.
Originally from Japan, she started her ballet training in New Jersey with Irene Fokine, niece of ballet legend Michael Fokine. Upon furthering her training in Japan, she attended the Rock School for Dance Education on full scholarship. She has performed in productions with ballet companies such as Philadelphia Ballet, Dance Lab NY and numerous New York City based companies.
Previously founder of her ballet studio and faculty of nationally renown studios in Japan and America. She has traveled internationally throughout Asia, Europe, Middle East and Americas conducting master classes for dancers from beginner to professional for body conditioning and ballet. Other teachings: Capezio, Body Wrappers.
As an actress she has worked on the hit TV series Succession HBO Max opposite Emmy and Golden Globe winner Jeremy Strong. TV/film credits: Raising Kanan STARZ, The Show about the Show BRIC TV.
