Amanda Sharperson (she/her) is a performer and visual artist from Brooklyn, New York. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies, as well as a minor in Dance, from Hunter College. She is a graduate of Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, where she studied ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and baroque under Ani Udovicki, Olivier Huets, and Rachel Wurman. In 2019, Amanda had the honor of being selected to present work in the annual EMERGE Choreographer’s Showcase at The Tank NYC. She is currently a dancer and collaborative artist with Channel:Dig (Sarah Richman), a non-profit collaborative arts company based in NY. She has performed works by Hayden J. Frederick, Cat Cogliandro, Emily Greenwell, and Theresa Stone. She continues to teach and assist dance classes in the tri-state area. She can be seen dancing in The Teskey Brothers “So Caught Up” official dance video, directed by Michael Hili. She was a featured model in Teddy Tedholm’s Dancegeist Magazine October 2020 issue cover.
Amanda continues to perform and train with some of the most prestigious choreographers and instructors known in the dance industry in New York City. She hopes to continue to explore and utilize her creative skills to create impactful art. Amanda is excited to be joining Broadway Dance Center’s Children and Teens faculty this year.
