Eliza Frye Children & Teens Bio

Eliza Frye is a New York based dancer, choreographer and instructor. Originally from Cleveland, OH, Eliza grew up surrounded by dance and filled her passion up with an abundance of training. She received her BFA from Ball State University. In 2023, she started a project based company as well, Wasted Movement Dance Project, where she has since presented group work at WeMove Dance Festival, Cleveland Dance Festival, and DanceBloc Festival at Dixon Place.

Since relocating to New York City, she has performed with Swan Ballet Center, New Brese Dance Project, Drye Marinaro Dance Company, and Nefelaba Dance Theater. In December 2023, she had the special opportunity to perform at LegoLand NY Resort in their Bricktacular Holiday performance. Her passion for teaching started at a young age at her home studio and continues to grow. As a company member of The Movement Project in OH, Eliza had the opportunity to teach company class as well as youth classes. Eliza also has experience teaching multiple levels of a wide variety of styles, specializing in contemporary, acrobatics, softacro and floorwork. Eliza strives to push past structural boundaries and elicit emotional reactions in her movement. She loves creating movement for all her classes and sharing her passion for dance with her students.
