Marjay has always had a passion to dance and express herself through movement, embracing a fluctuating case of Peter Pan syndrome. She trained for three years at Broadway Dance Center in the Independent Training Program focusing on Hip-Hop, Ballet, Jazz and more, in addition to training at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in Ballroom and West African.
As a result of vigorous training and assisting, Marjay has had various opportunities; such as teaching at PMT House of Dance and MK Dance on Hudson. Credits include performing at the Professional Business Women of California PBWC, CurvyCon X Nike, United Nations: Presents Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Summit, Michael Jackson “Thriller” 40th Anniversary tribute, to name a few.
As an artivist, she sets out to use art as a platform to educate, enlighten, and empower others, making the word “can’t” non-existent, while believing that the only thing that can stop a person from achieving their dreams is themselves.
