Adam Cates has built a career as a theatre artist working as a choreographer, director, performer, educator and writer. Class begins with a designed Jazz/Ballet/Yoga warm-up incorporating aligned stretching, strategic strengthening, and center and across-the-floor exercises that focus on technical refinement.
Students are taught a stylized Musical Theater combination. Choreography ranges in diversity but asks students to explore the world in which the story takes place. Emphasis is placed on style, character, technical execution, history, and sometimes vocalization.
