Al Blackstone is a New York-based choreographer, performer, and educator and the recipient of the 2011 Capezio A.C.E. Award for Choreographic Excellence. Dance Magazine has called his work “sweet, silly, sly... infectious.” While working mostly in musical theatre, his passion for contemporary and jazz dance enriches his unique approach to storytelling.

Class focuses on performance, musicality, and bringing your own self to your work. Through the warm-up and across the floor exercises, students will develop their technique as a foundation. New choreography taught each week familiarizes students with diverse styles, promotes self-confidence, and allows each student to develop their performance skills in an encouraging environment.
