Alexis Carra received her B.A in Theatre Studies, Cum Laude from Yale University. After graduating and moving to NYC, she began working extensively on and off Broadway in shows such as Wicked, Sweet Charity, Fosse (1st National Tour) and The Pirate Queen, and can be heard the cast album recordings of many of them. Alexis continues to sing and dance her way around LA performing the critically acclaimed role of Cassie in A Chorus Line where she was awarded Best Dance Performance in Los Angeles and was also seen playing Gypsy Rose Lee opposite Vicki Lewis at Sacramento Music Circus. Most recently Alexis played the iconic role of Lola in Damn Yankees.
Alexis teaches master classes across the globe from Italy to Sweden, and has been on staff at Edge Performing Arts Center, AMDA, the Norris Center for the Performing Arts, and Los Angeles Ballet Academy. She has assisted Tony award winning choreographers Wayne Cilento and Andy Blankenbuehler as well as choreographing commercials for Doritos, Discovery Channel, and musicals such as West Side Story, Bye Bye Birdie, and Sweet Charity. Alexis most recently choreographed an HBO Pilot called Showtime directed by Adam Mckay (Vice, The Big Short, Succession) and recently choreographed industrials for Fox Media and a new show, Corset Crush, which debuted at the MGM in Macau, China.
Alexis' TV credits include Series Regular roles on Mixology (ABC) and Recovery Road (Freeform) and guest roles on Grey’s Anatomy, Castle, Anger Management, Major Crimes, Criminal Minds, and NCIS. One of her most favorite experiences has been a recent featured recurring guest role on the critically acclaimed FX mini series Fosse Verdon, starring Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams. She just wrapped shooting a Disney feature film titled Christmas Again, playing a Latina mother opposite Scarlett Estevez and Daniel Sunjata. Her deepest desire is to inspire young artists to create from their heart and to learn about having confidence from the inside-out.
