Class will begin with a warm-up that will loosen the body and strengthen the core. Before we begin a combo in any style of dance, students will be asked to explore movement through various improv exercises to discover different strengths.
One of the most important elements in her class whether it be Contemporary, Jazz, or Hip-Hop, is dynamics, musicality, and commitment to the piece. Courtney’s choreography tends to be a fusion of different dance styles; she tends to let the music tell her what to do. She provides an open, fu, but intense environment.
A dance floor is a sacred place; one we should never take for granted, whether you have been dancing for a month or for years! It’s important to her that the dancers feel comfortable to move freely without judgment in a safe, creative space. That’s what class is for!
