Ginger’s class is an environment for dancers to explore their physical possibilities and imagination in dance. Pulling from her diverse background in jazz, modern and ballet, Ginger’s athletic style puts a tweak in the conventional dance vocabulary and creates a unique way to move. iDANZ Critix Corner quotes, “Cox explores movement in an unpredictable way.” Ginger uses her love of all styles of dance and infuses her extensive studies in anatomy and kinesiology to teach dancers how to use their bodies optimally to prepare them for all styles of movement. Her technical warm up focuses on weight exchange, off center work, core stability and dynamic balances to strengthen and stretch the body on all planes. Technique and artistry are put into motion in the across the floor exercises. Her diverse combinations are always accompanied by a broad spectrum of music. Dancers that train with Ginger gain greater anatomical awareness, strength, versatility, and the ability to work in the industry with confidence. Ginger encourages dancers to have an inquisitive, open mind and to explore being human within the creative process. Her classes are filled with dancers of all levels working toward the common goal of self-improvement with a mindful approach. It is a supportive, fun atmosphere!
Under the umbrella of Jazz, Ginger gives a variety of different combinations, including: contemporary lyrical, commercial, modern and traditional jazz, and props!
