This class is a mix of Vaganova, French, and Balanchine technique. Ballet slippers are required and women may choose to wear pointe shoes if they like.
This class is designed to help dancers learn the art and skill of partnering from a classical ballet foundation. While working on turns, assisted lifts, and adage, dancers in this class will acquire partnering technique ranging from basic to advanced. Dancers will also gain the ability to work together for maximum results as both artists and technicians. Coordination of movement, timing, and musicality, as well as finding core support and balance are all addressed. Students will also learn repertoire that is pertinent to today’s growing demands within Ballet. Please note that women must be en pointe and men must have at least a basic knowledge of ballet.
