Maddie O'Hara is an NYC based improv teacher and coach. An alumni of The Second City Training Program, she has taught improv at places such as Gotham City Improv, The Producers Club, Broadway Dance Center, Beyond The Stage Studios, and The Girl Scout Leadership Institute. She has coached every kind of improv team from beginner groups to competition groups, and loves laughing with her students the whole time.
In this class students will learn the fundamentals of improvisation, one of the most intimidating forms of theater, and something that is often required in audition settings. Maddie leads group warm ups and improv exercises that teach students to be comfortable with the basics of scene structure, character development, agreement, and ensemble work, all in an incredibly positive environment that is full of laughter!
