This class is designed for students with little or no experience in Breaking. It focuses on the foundations of the dance – toprock, footwork and freezes. Vocabulary will be broken down with emphasis on technique, style, musicality and an understanding of the history and evolution of the dance.
Ms. Vee bases her Hip-Hop style on the street dances from which it originated. Her choreography is largely influenced by the party/club dances of the Old and New school, Popping, Locking, and Breaking. This is a high energy class with an emphasis on fun, flava, and attitude.
Class breakdown: warm-up focusing on grooving, stretch, and combination. Students are sure to gain a better understanding of where the dance came from and a greater confidence with the movement.
