Tabatha Robinson-Scott holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree in dance and Master’s degree in Dance Education from Temple University. For over 20 years, she has built her career as a teacher, choreographer, performer, curriculum specialist, and arts advocate. Umfundalai is a contemporary African dance technique that comprises its movement vocabulary from dance traditions throughout the Diaspora. The class introduces the fundamentals of the Umfundalai technique including progressions of specific traditional dances accessible to all levels. Class begins with movement practice warm-up in African dance foundations and organically evolves into choreography.
