Josh Kolberg (he/him) received professional training from the director of the Royal New Zealand Ballet, renowned Patricia Barker. While at Royal Danish Ballet School in København he studied under Nikolaj Hübbe and Henning Albrechtsen. Most recently Joshua performed for two seasons with the Connecticut Ballet Company where he danced demi soloist and corps de ballet roles. Josh aims to create an engaging environment where both professional and recreational dancers alike can thrive. He believes that encouragement is the key to allowing dancers to achieve their fullest potential as technicians and artists.
A 40 minute barre focuses on proper placement and precise execution followed by center work with an emphasis on musicality and the coordination of timing and movement.
This class is a mix of Vaganova, French, and Balanchine technique. Ballet slippers are required and dancers may choose to wear pointe shoes if they like.
