Building on the principles and fundamentals of Absolute Beginner and Basic levels, Beginner Ballet looks to add greater understanding of ballet technique. Body alignment, building strength, a kinesthetic approach to movement and musicality are emphasized. Whether you are interested in reviewing the fundamentals or looking to improve your ballet vocabulary of steps, this class is an in-depth look into the process of ballet and science of movement.
Progressing from the principals of the Beginner Ballet level, this more advanced class strives to work on clarity of positions and precision in movement. This class is a further look into refining the details of technique through alignment, direction of energy and focus. While introducing more advanced turning and jumping steps, there is also a focus on transitional linking steps and in creating seamless phrases of movement.
