Class Descriptions

Class Description

Richard's class is a fun, upbeat class based on rhythm and broadway. He draws on his years of experience working on Broadway with the solid foundation of rhythm tap he received earlier in his training. He is inspiration ranges from Savion Glover, Maurice Hines, Robert L. Reed, Fred Astaire, The Condos Brothers, Gene Kelly, Jeni Le Gon, Elenor Powell, and so many more. Each class is started with a warm-up to ease us into class while building strength, speed, and rhythm. Next is one or two combinations taught swiftly to work on specific skills and picking up choreography. Lastly, a combination uses the principles we just worked on while adding a performance quality to the choreography.

With my class I want people to come away being able to pick up choreography fast and feel more confident working on skills that might not have been broken down before. I want to create a sense of ease when dancing so you can focus on the performance quality of your movement.
